How Does it Work?

If you would like a custom pet portrait of you or someone else, here's how to do it!

1. Get in Touch

Fill out my enquiry form with the relevant information about your commission or email pawtraitsbycaitlin@gmail.com

2. Secure Your Slot

Once we've confirmed the portrait details (material, size, reference image, number of pets) you can secure your slot with a £25 deposit. This must be paid before the drawing begins.

3. I'll get to work!

I'll keep you updated throughout the process and let you know when your portrait is complete.

4. Final Payment & Delivery

When the drawing is complete and the final payment has been made, I will safely ship your piece over to you, to enjoy forever!

Good Reference Photo

The better the photo, the better the portrait!

Whilst I will do my very best for every drawing, there's only so much editing of photos I can do to make the perfect reference photo to work from.

Well-Lit

Photos should be well-lit in a bright space but avoiding direct sunlight, as this can create harsh shadows. 

Clear & Detailed

Make sure your photos are as crisp as possible, every tiny detail counts!

Full-Size, No Cropping

To make sure I can see all the details I need, ensure there's no cropping of the ears and face area.

What If You Don't Have a Good Photo?

If your photos are old, a bit blurry or not well-lit, I will do my best to work with what you have!

I may photoshop and edit your photos to help me see the details a little better - but I will always send over initial outlines of the drawing and confirm you're happy before I begin.

Missing an ear?

For this drawing of Luca, I need both of his ears visible and using Canva to overlay his ear from another image on top of the one I was planning to draw. 

Want to add or remove something?

My client requested to remove Lily’s harness and swap it out for a collar, so I overlaid photos of her fur from another photo to get a better reference photo to work from.

Commission Prices

All commissions require a deposit of £25 before any work is begun, the final payment will be requested once the piece is done, before it is shipped. Payments are requested by a payment checkout link on my website (or bank transfer if preferred) that I will send to you by email, from this you can pay by card.
